PATHWAYS IN LEARNING AT POWELL GARDENS
Planting the Seeds of Knowledge
Pathways in Learning Field Trips are the cure for "Nature Deficit Disorder." At Powell Gardens, we take pride in researching "best practices" in hands-on educational programs, paying close attention to the state science standards you as a teacher need to teach, in order to offer a learning experience that students will enjoy and you can justify.

Pathways in Learning Programs are designed to meet your scheduling needs, whether you can stay one hour or half a day. Now is the time to choose your path!

SCOUT LEADERS
Our programs can help your scouts earn badges. Your scouts can take a nature hike, investigate a pond, tour the gardens, or help us in the Youth Garden. Call to get more information and to make arrangements. Other scouting opportunities are listed in our Garden Culture publication of adult and family classes. Click here to view upcoming classes.

DESIGN A FIELD TRIP
Are you studying a special topic that Powell Gardens can enhance with a field trip? If the listed programs do not fit your curriculum and your class is learning about a subject appropriate to the Gardens' setting and resources, let us know! We would be happy to design a special field trip for your class.

AWAY PROGRAMS
Bring a little bit of Powell Gardens into your classroom. Popular away programs include classroom versions of Ladybugs and Butterflies, Worms for Supper, and Bug Hunters. We can bring many of our programs to you, or we can host these programs at Powell Gardens at a lower cost. Schedule multiple visits and save even more. Call or email Vaughn for more details and to schedule an away program. 816-697-2600 ext. 305.
