The festival includes both indoor and outdoor activities. Bring sunscreen and towels if you plan to try out our interactive
Fountain Garden. (Swim diapers are required for babies.)
Peak attendance generally falls on Saturdays and Sunday afternoons. If you are mostly interested in seeing the butterflies and not the related children's activities, consider visiting on a weekday in between the festival dates. The butterfly conservatory will be open on those days from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is included with regular Garden admission.
For everyone's safety and enjoyment, strollers are not allowed in the Conservatory. Please be prepared to leave them in our staffed stroller parking area and pick them up when you exit the Conservatory. The rest of the festival and Gardens are stroller accessible.
Tripods, monopods or any other type of stationary camera stand will not be allowed in the Conservatory during the festival. To accommodate photographers, we've established Tripod Days from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, August 12, and Tuesday, August 17. For a $5 fee, photographers may use tripods/monopods/etc. in the Conservatory. The Conservatory will also be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on both of these days.
No picnics are allowed inside the Gardens. If you would like to picnic, please use the shaded picnic area just outside the Gardens (near the gatehouse).
No pets (other than service dogs) will be allowed in the Gardens. No exceptions.
