Holiday Concert Series in the Chapel
presented by Friends of Powell Gardens
The Marjorie Powell Allen Chapel is an extraordinary venue in which to enjoy seasonal music. The 2013 series opens on Saturday, Dec. 7, with the rare opportunity to hear Octarium, an eight-member choral group known for their beautifully blended voices. The series continues December 14 with a performance by the Sacred Arts Choral from Central Baptist Theological Seminary and on December 15 with Central Standard men's chorus. Learn more here.
Gardens by Candlelight: A Luminary Walk
For two magical nights experience Powell Gardens aglow with the soft light of hundreds of luminaria. Gardens by Candlelight will be held December 14 and 15 from 5-7:30 p.m. Enjoy live music in the Marjorie Powell Allen Chapel and Visitor Center both evenings. Performances include:

Did you know? Poinsettias are native to Central America and tropical Mexico and are actually shrubs that can grow to 10 feet tall. The Powell Gardens' exhibit is the largest in the area.
