We are thrilled to welcome the Chamber Ensemble of the Heartland Men's Chorus to the Marjorie Powell Allen Chapel Holiday Concert Series, presented by Friends of Powell Gardens!

About the Chamber Ensemble of the Heartland Men's Chorus

The Heartland Men's Chorus (hmckc.org) is Kansas City's gay men's chorus, now in its 30th anniversary season. Founded with 30 singers, the chorus now has upward of 125 singers and is a vital part of Kansas City's arts and cultural scene. The Kansas City Star recently cited the group as "one of the most beloved arts institutions in Kansas City."

The chapel will not accommodate a chorus of 125. Fortunately, the chorus has a smaller ensemble for such events—the Chamber Ensemble of the Heartland Men's Chorus, and we are delighted to welcome them for their first Powell Gardens' performance!
