The City Girl Farm Chicken Footstool Raffle

Powell Gardens is partnering with local Kansas City Artist Sally Linville and her studio of fiber artists, The City Girl Farm, to showcase a special collection of their signature chicken footstools inspired by butterflies from around the world. Each chicken is designed after a different butterfly species and named after some of Powell Gardens most impactful supporters.

Little Ona the Monarch chicken will be raffled off in support of Powell Gardens’ operations. Raffle tickets will be available July 27-August 10. Each raffle ticket is $100, and with only 126 available, be sure to get yours before they are gone!

About Little Ona – The Monarch of the Ball

Little Ona is a Chicken Little Footstool handcrafted by The City Girl Farm studio in Kansas City, Missouri. Her feathers are knit and embroidered with hand-spun Merino wool. She was inspired by the stunning wing design of the Monarch butterfly. Named after Ona Gieschen, who gifted Powell Gardens 40 acres of natural prairie in late 2019, in celebration of her love for her prairie and Missouri’s native beauty.
