Anourom was born in Laos and raised in Olathe. He worked for the Anderson Restaurant Group, owners of Pierpont’s and Hereford House, as a chef before striking out on his own, and Anousone’s has quickly become a hidden gem in Kansas City! The Laotian food he serves is inspired by a love of culture and a desire to share it with people. You won’t believe how flavorful it is, and you won’t know how you ever lived without it.
A true dynamic duo in the culinary world, Chefs Ryan and Jessica pride themselves on finding exciting new tastes from locally sourced ingredients. With a history in cooking for big names like the Ritz Carlton and the Four Seasons, Chef Bryant is no stranger to authenticity in regional and cultural foods. Specialized in Italian cuisine, he takes a simple approach in chosen ingredients while getting creative in traditional and contemporary recipes.
Chef Shanita’s culinary journey started when she was just 13, making a homemade crust for an apple pie. Her love of cooking drove her to being the 2016 winner of Cutthroat Kitchen, but she didn’t stop there! She now owns and runs Magnolia’s on the Move, which offers southern style cuisine that’s full of culture and flavor. Her restaurant earned many awards as a brick and mortar location, and her new ventures as a moving caterer are gaining in popularity with each happy customer!
The grandson of Rich Davis, creator of KC Masterpiece barbecue sauce, Calvin carries on the tradition of good cooking in his own way. Spending time as a sous chef and executive chef in New Orleans, he’s developed an abundance of salt water and fresh water fish recipes. At Freshwater, he focuses on the latter, giving each course its own special flare.
Chef Sean has spent his life from age 16 learning the different levels of fine dining. He’s worked his way up from bussing tables to running his own catering business. A true outdoorsman, he brings his experience with nature to the table. Incorporating mushrooms, wild greens, and other ingredients that he picks from the woods, he brings out a genuine flavor from the meals he prepares.
Early this year, Chef Joe was given the challenging task of serving as executive chef at the newly opened Savoy restaurant, a previously historic spot that served the likes of Harry S. Truman and John D. Rockefeller. The original restaurant was destroyed in a fire, along with many of its recipes. Joe tackled it head-on, and brought new recipes with timeless tastes to the menu, as well as reinventing a few old ones for nostalgic guests. Come and try his new spins on classic dishes, and experience the wonders of The Savoy and Chef Joe’s talents!
