The Native American flute is one of the easiest instruments to play. You do not need to read music; it just requires a gentle breath. In this beginner’s class at Powell Gardens, you will have a loaner flute to play (with a plastic tube) and you will learn simple melodies from the heart.

There is a specific system that will enable you to play this soulful instrument without reading music. Unlike our traditional musical instruments, this will allow you to feel successful much faster than other instruments. It also has many therapeutic aspects which you will also learn about in this class.

The class is taught by a Music Therapist who has years of experience helping people enjoy self expression through music. It’s like “singing with your breath!” Come and explore your inner musician.
