Create your own apple tree! In this workshop participants will learn about the basics of fruit tree grafting with a focus on hands on practice of whip and tongue bench grafting. One newly self-grafted apple tree is included in the ticket price. Additional rootstock and scion wood available for purchase.

LOCATION ALERT: This workshop will be held at Powell Gardens Colonial Farms in Blue Springs, Missouri. The site address is 27610 E Wyatt Road Blue Springs, MO 64014. Meet in the Courtyard before venturing into the Orchard.

The class is lead by Mike Hughes, proprietor of 39th Parallel Nursery and Orchard and Skyler Adamson, of Lawrence Fruit Tree Project, both of Lawrence, KS.

The class will require some walking in a field; close-toe shoes optional. The class will be outdoors. Sunscreen and water is optional but recommended.
