Join Powell Gardens and WildHERness for a unique and educational outdoor experience as we explore the world of wild edibles on a guided foraging hike.

Led by Missouri Master Naturalist Amy Rush Howard and Missouri Mycological Society certified mushroom identifier Rachel Trent, these hikes will take you through the Gardens and surrounding natural areas to discover edible plants, fungi, and other seasonal treasures found in Missouri’s native landscape.

Whether you’re a seasoned forager or just curious about the wild foods growing around you, you’ll learn how to safely identify edible species, understand their ecological roles, and appreciate their culinary potential. Each hike lasts approximately two hours and is designed to be informative, interactive, and accessible to all experience levels.

Space is limited. Registration required. Choose from two hike times: 10 a.m. or 1 p.m.
