2020 Funding Priorities
Powell Gardens welcomes donations of any size to support our mission to provide an experience that embraces the Midwest’s spirit of place and inspires an appreciation for the importance of plants in our lives. Through garden beautification and education, we strive to enhance the Powell Gardens experience and better serve the community at large. This would not be possible without generous contributions and funding from our dedicated supporters.

Front Entrance
This gateway will welcome future visitors, establishing a new “face” to signal the beauty of the gardens within. The iconic Sheaves of Wheat sculpture, formerly installed on the Board of Trade building, will serve as the focal point, forever tying us to our city and our region.
giving to the endowment
Increasing the Gardens’ endowment is essential to ensuring that the institution is here for the next generation of gardeners, students, families, and horticulturists. The Powell Family Foundation is matching gifts for the endowment one-to-one (up to an additional $3.5 million dollars).
Naming opportunities are available for both projects. Please contact Molly Maddox at development@powellgardens.org or 816-697-2600 X226 for more information.
