It’s strawberry time in the Heartland Harvest Garden! Visit now to sample the delicious fruits of the gardeners’ and volunteers’ labor at the Tasting Station and buy some (while supplies last) to take home.

On Sunday at 1 p.m. Chef Terry Mille of Cowtown Cheesecake will prepare a strawberry soup as part of our Garden Chef Series. Join us at 12:30 p.m. to catch Pete Dulin, author of “Last Bite: 100 Simple Recipes from Kansas City’s Best Chefs and Cooks.” Dulin will be signing copies of his book; a limited number will be available for purchase.

At 2 p.m. Jane Zieha of Blue Bird Bistro will share another recipe from the garden. Hope to see you in the Gardens!
